Our Story

Side Effects was created from the belief that not every thought should remain silent. Intrusive thoughts are not always positive — most of the time, they are raw, unfiltered, and uncomfortable.

Humans think without permission — about desire, sexuality, immorality, envy, tenderness, joy, resentment, and moments the mouth never dares to speak.

Our brand does not measure filters, intentions, or context. Side Effects does not judge. It gives voice to thoughts that exist regardless of whether they are moral or immoral, clean or dirty, light or dark. Thoughts don’t need approval to be real.

We didn’t come to please. We came to dismantle a society that taught us to label everything before understanding it — race, skin, gender, sexuality, morality.

Side Effects exists to break that narrative and to give space to those who were silenced out of fear of being judged.

This is not fashion for validation. It’s not fashion for acceptance. It’s fashion for expression — for presence.

Founder Bio — Bruno Rodrigues

Bruno Rodrigues is the creator of Side Effects and the founder of Black Screen Entertainment. His work moves across storytelling, visual culture, and fashion, always centered on what remains unspoken.

As an author, Bruno is known for the Echoes of Us saga, beginning with What Was Left of Us, a series that explores identity, memory, guilt, and the emotional weight people carry beneath the surface. Writing became a way to give structure to thoughts that could not remain silent.

Side Effects follows the same impulse. It exists as an extension of that inner dialogue — a space where intrusive thoughts, contradictions, and uncomfortable truths are allowed to exist without judgment.

This brand was not created from trends or strategy. It was created from the need to speak.
